Durian

Working on the bees this am I smelled a familiar aroma. This tree had only two durians this year after heavy flowering.
These are the small button type.
I'm really looking forward to eating this fruit and hopefully planting any seed.

Back Open for Business

We had a great time in the Pacific Northwest visiting Seattle, Spokane, Coeur d"Alene and
Walla Walla. It was fun to get away and its good to be back.
Apologies to those that we missed.

Pitaya Growing Techniques

Picking Pitaya with two bamboo implements.
A big downside to letting the climbing cactus climb too far.

Saw this on the ASEAN Facebook page.
I'm going to give this a shot but don't know if they use light and fertilizer manipulation

Cereus Flower Bloom

Cereus Flower Bloom
Epiphyllum Strictum
I was surprised early the other morning to see this flower. The cactus has been in the nursery for a few years with no blooms.
A different species, not pitaya.
