This dehusker has taken the pain out of opening coconuts. I was getting "coconut elbow" spiking ten or so at a time. This new tool takes a lot less energy and force. They have a store on Amazon selling other ag tools and knives from Thailand.
These plants came from Tropical Isle Exotics bareroot in a padded envelope and I was worried they wouldn't make it but it looks like they will come out of transplant shock. I grew a lot of this herb in the 80's but lost my specimens due to neglect.
Glad to get some back to propagate.
Working on the bees this am I smelled a familiar aroma. This tree had only two durians this year after heavy flowering.
These are the small button type.
I'm really looking forward to eating this fruit and hopefully planting any seed.
We had a great time in the Pacific Northwest visiting Seattle, Spokane, Coeur d"Alene and
Walla Walla. It was fun to get away and its good to be back.
Apologies to those that we missed.
Cereus Flower Bloom
Epiphyllum Strictum
I was surprised early the other morning to see this flower. The cactus has been in the nursery for a few years with no blooms.
A different species, not pitaya.
